SDLP Partner Program
Add enterprise-grade SQL data lineage to your governance practice.
Bring your regulated customers a lineage platform they can defend in an audit — column-level, evidence-backed, and honest about what it can’t resolve. Refer it or resell it: the deals are large, the work is sticky, and it complements the catalogs you already deliver.
For system integrators & data-governance consultancies serving banks, insurers, and regulated enterprises in the US & Europe.
The opportunity
Regulatory tailwind, real budget, thin competition.
Regulated enterprises are under standing pressure — BCBS 239, GDPR, SOX-style controls — to prove where every reported number comes from. Most lineage tools draw a pretty diagram but can’t prove it’s complete. That gap is your opening: a board-level requirement, growing governance budgets, and few tools that can actually stand in front of an auditor.
Why it’s easy to sell
Others draw lineage. SDLP accounts for it.
SDLP computes column-level lineage by parsing the customer’s actual SQL — stored procedures, views, triggers, jobs. Every relationship it resolves becomes an auditable fact. Every statement it cannot resolve is kept — with a reason code — never silently dropped and never guessed into a plausible edge. So facts + reason-coded rejects account for 100% of the collected SQL — a checkable equation, not a slogan. That is exactly what an auditor asks for, and exactly what generic, table-level tools can’t deliver.
What this buys your customer
- No silent gaps. Incompleteness is visible and counted, not hidden inside a clean-looking diagram.
- Defensible in an audit. The reject ledger is part of the deliverable — the regulator sees exactly what wasn’t resolved and why.
- A number they can trust. A per-batch quality score turns “is the lineage good?” into one figure.
What you’ll put in front of your customer
Evidence, not a spaghetti graph.
Trace any report column back through every hop to the exact SQL statement that produced it — 7 facts, 2 transforms, 1 aggregate, last seen in an approved baseline. A table-level catalog cannot say this.
Field-level SQL evidence
Every edge resolves to a byte-precise, hash-verified span of the original SQL — click through from any number to the statement that made it.
Honest PII impact
Knows the difference between a report that CONTAINS sensitive data and one merely FILTERED_BY it — the distinction a privacy officer needs.
Auditor-verifiable
Point-in-time baselines with four-eyes approval, a tamper-evident audit chain, and an independent validator an auditor runs without trusting the scanner.
Inside their perimeter
On-premise and air-gapped, Java-only, metadata-only source access — it never reads a single row of table data. A short vendor-risk review.
Feeds their catalog
Pushes column-level lineage into Microsoft Purview, Collibra, and Alation. It strengthens the catalog they already run — it doesn’t replace it.
Built for scale
Handles 100+ database estates and streams millions of rows to CSV, JSONL, or Parquet — designed for practical batch runs on commodity hardware.
Why it’s a good line to carry
Large deals, sticky footprint, services you keep.
High-value & sticky
On-premise, compliance-critical software embeds deep in the customer’s governance stack — it doesn’t churn.
Implementation revenue
Deployment, scan operations, classification, and audit-readiness are advisory work your team delivers and bills.
Complements your stack
If you already implement Purview / Collibra / Alation, SDLP is the deep-lineage engine that makes those catalogs audit-grade.
Ramp fast
A live demo, a self-run evaluation package, and sales + technical enablement so your team can pitch and pilot without a long runway.
Differentiated pitch
“No silent gaps” is a claim no generic lineage tool can make — it wins the technical evaluation with governance and audit buyers.
Two ways in
Refer a customer and we close it together, or resell and deliver it yourself. Start light, grow into whichever fits.
Proven where it’s hardest
Born from the requirements of a large EU bank and a global enterprise.
SDLP was built to answer real regulators, at estate scale, with the gaps accounted for. Its lineage repository, honest reject ledger, independent validator, and Purview-ready exports all come from production requirements — not a whiteboard.
How partnering works
Lightweight, two ways to engage.
Bring us the customer
You spot the opportunity inside an account you already serve and introduce us. We run the evaluation and close together; you stay in the loop and keep the relationship.
- No commitment or product depth required to start
- Ideal for advisory-led firms testing the fit
Sell & deliver it yourself
You license SDLP and lead the deployment, scan operations, and governance rollout as part of your engagement — with our technical backing behind you.
- You own the implementation & advisory revenue
- Ideal for SIs with a standing governance practice
What we provide · who fits
Everything you need to pitch, pilot, and deliver.
Ideal partners: system integrators and data-governance consultancies serving banks, insurers, and other regulated enterprises across the US and Europe — especially teams already delivering Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or Alation.
Partner FAQ
The questions your team will ask.
Does SDLP compete with the catalogs we deliver?
No. SDLP is the deep SQL-lineage engine that feeds Purview, Collibra, and Alation with column-level, transformation-aware lineage. It makes the catalog you already implement more accurate and audit-ready — it’s a complement, not a replacement.
Does it read our customer’s production data?
No. SDLP works by static analysis of SQL code. It reads catalog metadata and module source text with a read-only login that needs no access to table rows. There is no code path that reads business data — a strong point for any security review.
What happens to SQL it can’t resolve?
It’s recorded in the reject ledger with a machine-readable reason code and evidence — never silently dropped and never guessed into a plausible-looking edge. Facts plus rejects always account for 100% of the collected SQL.
Which databases and dialects are supported?
SDLP scans Microsoft SQL Server estates end-to-end today. It’s powered by the same GuduSoft SQL Parser family that handles a broad range of dialects, and further estate types — including Amazon Redshift — are on the roadmap. If your customers run something else, tell us: design-partner input directly shapes which adapters ship next.
